What about the traceability of your sterilisations in dental surgery:
Obligations set out in the Public Health Code
Every dental practice must ensure the traceability of the sterilisation of its instruments, in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Dental Surgeons, as well as Article L. 5212-1 of the Public Health Code and materiovigilance requirements.
Precise data to retain
Maintaining a sterilisation logbook, documenting the parameters of the sterilisation cycles and the test results, is mandatory. The dental practice is required to retain this data for a minimum of 5 years – with the National Order of Dental Surgeons recommending a period of 20 years.
Rigorous inspection of your equipment
Tests must be performed to monitor the effectiveness of sterilisation devices (Bowie-Dick or Helix steam penetration test, vacuum test, physico-chemical integrator), at a rate of one check per day, according to the recommendations of the French Society of Sterilisation Sciences (SF2S).
